About the role
Responsibilities
- Interact daily with existing and potential clients via telephone and in person
- Order medical records and communicate with clients and providers during treatment
- Obtain documents necessary to support injury and liability positions
- Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and medical balance deductions
- Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers
- Manage case files from intake to closing under attorney direction
- Maintain organized case files and present case synopses to attorneys
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in a legal position or insurance adjusting preferred
- Strong negotiating, writing, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Typing speed of at least 35 wpm
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
