About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed, culturally safe, non-clinical psychosocial support to children and young people experiencing family and domestic violence
- Deliver end-to-end case management, including intake, assessment, and the development of holistic, strength-based case plans
- Maintain an active caseload of approximately 15–20 clients, providing one-to-one support and regular progress reviews
- Conduct home visits, office-based appointments, and community outreach to ensure client safety and wellbeing
- Provide advocacy and practical assistance with housing, Centrelink, and Medicare applications
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records and documentation in line with legislative requirements
Requirements
- Cert IV in Social Work, Social Welfare, Youth Work, Community Services, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of one year of experience in family and domestic violence, youth work, or community-based case management
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, child and adolescent development, and safe practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal cultures, communities, and protocols
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Full driver licence with no restrictions
