Case Manager, Immigration

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case management services for immigrant clients to enhance safety and well-being, focusing on housing, public benefits, and self-sufficiency
• Interview clients and gather data in support of immigration applications in collaboration with attorneys
• Conduct screening interviews with survivors of gender-based violence to assess eligibility for public benefits
• Provide information, referrals, personal advocacy, accompaniment, and emotional support
• Assist with OVS victim compensation applications and prepare requests for educational and financial assistance grants
• Refer survivors to appropriate legal and social services both within and outside of Sanctuary for Families
• Maintain accurate electronic records of current and potential clients and perform administrative support tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
• Bilingual in English and a relevant community language (e.g., Spanish, French, Russian)
• Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Deep understanding of and ability to work well with people of diverse ethnic, cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Passion for the mission of ending gender-based violence and human trafficking

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in case management, paralegal work, or administrative roles
• Experience working specifically with immigrant survivors of gender-based violence or human trafficking
• Experience completing compensation claims
