About the role

Responsibilities

  • Administer student of concern reports and manage case progression and completion of action plans
  • Oversee weekly Care Team meetings to address student needs and coordinate response plans
  • Provide crisis intervention for students with immediate needs such as food, shelter, or financial aid
  • Maintain comprehensive records and oversee the record-keeping process for students in distress
  • Act as a primary resource for students, faculty, and staff regarding student of concern policies
  • Develop and present workshops and training programs for university staff and faculty
  • Assist in the management of cases within the Maxient system
  • Perform general office duties including scheduling, correspondence, and customer service

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in student affairs, education, or social work (graduate assistantships considered)
  • Strong administrative, operations management, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel, and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Student Personnel Services, Higher Education Administration, or Social Work
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Previous experience using Maxient and Colleague software
