About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide information and referrals to faculty, staff, students, and affiliates regarding discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and other prohibited conduct.
- Perform interviews to collect summaries of concerns and communicate possible courses of action and University resources.
- Advise community members on their rights under University policies.
- Meet with individuals to assess needs and develop comprehensive case management plans.
- Collaborate with University partners to arrange, implement, and monitor academic, workplace, and community accommodations.
- Document all case information, interim measures, referrals, and accommodations in the student database.
- Support the Administrative Resolution process, including issuing no-contact directives and implementing safety measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in behavioral intervention, counseling, or support services.
- Knowledge of the complexities surrounding protected class discrimination, sexual misconduct, and gender-related violence within a university or college setting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to exercise superior judgment and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in higher education, student personnel administration, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Title VI, VII, and/or Title IX regulations in a higher education setting.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and detail-oriented environment.
- Experience with alternative resolutions, including conducting mediations and facilitated conversations.
