Responsibilities

• Greet new clients and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Interview clients, review records, and evaluate client conditions
• Document intake material and assess continuing care needs
• Assist in formulating treatment plans based on biopsychosocial assessments
• Counsel clients individually, in families, or in group sessions
• Refer clients to support services such as medical, social, or employment services
• Maintain reports and case histories in accordance with agency guidelines
• Supervise toxicology screens and search client belongings upon admission
• Enter client data into paper and electronic records
• Complete psychosocial histories and wellness assessments
• Manage discharge notes and client disenrollment forms

Requirements

• Associate degree with certifications, or equivalent experience and education
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required
• Ability to relate to substance use treatment populations with sensitivity
• Strong customer service orientation and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
• Knowledge of community resources for aftercare placement
