Case Management Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of BOS workers handling the application process for new applicants, closed cases, and one-shot deals
• Assign applications to staff and review recommendations for benefit sign-offs
• Oversee staff interviewing applicants for eligibility regarding food, non-food, SNAP, and Medicaid benefits
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports and audits
• Provide case consultation and guidance on difficult case planning processes
• Supervise staff managing ongoing eligibility, employment assessments, and employment plans
• Review employment eligibility decisions for compliance with Agency and New York State regulations
• Perform Mandatory Dispute Resolution functions
• Supervise staff interacting with homebound clients and walk-in/telephone clients
• Oversee staff determining housing needs for tenants at risk of homelessness

Requirements

• High school diploma and three years of full-time experience in social/human services or related client/employment services
• OR a baccalaureate degree plus 18 months of experience as a Benefits Opportunity Specialist
• OR a baccalaureate degree plus 18 months of experience in social/human services or related client/employment services
• Must be permanent in the Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist or Benefits Opportunity Specialist title for at least one year
