About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement Federal, State, and City regulations affecting Home Care Services
  • Analyze and evaluate existing programs and policies to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with public, private, and community agencies including NYSDSS and hospital social work departments
  • Coordinate the implementation of policies and guidelines from the Executive Deputy Commissioner
  • Participate in problem resolution with HRA components such as ACS and APS
  • Evaluate staff productivity and facilitate strategies to achieve management goals
  • Represent the Agency at public and private functions
  • Prepare monthly reports documenting borough activities for the Deputy Commissioner
  • Oversee personnel training implementation

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience
  • One year of experience at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, or social services organization
  • Must be permanent in the Administrative Director of Social Services civil service title or eligible for 6.1.9 title change
