About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement Federal, State, and City regulations affecting Home Care Services
- Analyze and evaluate existing programs and policies to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Maintain cooperative relationships with public, private, and community agencies including NYSDSS and hospital social work departments
- Coordinate the implementation of policies and guidelines from the Executive Deputy Commissioner
- Participate in problem resolution with HRA components such as ACS and APS
- Evaluate staff productivity and facilitate strategies to achieve management goals
- Represent the Agency at public and private functions
- Prepare monthly reports documenting borough activities for the Deputy Commissioner
- Oversee personnel training implementation
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Four years of progressively responsible experience
- One year of experience at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, or social services organization
- Must be permanent in the Administrative Director of Social Services civil service title or eligible for 6.1.9 title change
