Carrier Procurement Representative

Responsibilities

• Source, qualify, onboard, and develop carrier relationships across the freight network
• Build and maintain a diversified carrier portfolio including dry van, reefer, flatbed, and expedited modes
• Negotiate competitive buy rates to balance service expectations with profitability
• Leverage market data and load boards to inform procurement decisions and improve lane profitability
• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with asset-based carriers and owner-operators
• Address service failures, disputes, and operational issues with urgency
• Maintain accurate carrier information, rate history, and documentation within the TMS

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 1–3+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier procurement, or transportation operations
• Demonstrated experience negotiating rates and managing transportation relationships
• Working knowledge of carrier economics and freight markets
• Proficiency with TMS and CRM platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
