Carpentry and Cabinetmaking Instructor

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute theoretical and practical classes according to the approved curriculum
• Instruct on the safe and efficient use of manual tools, electric tools, and specialized machinery
• Teach measurement, cutting, assembly, finishing, and mounting techniques for wood or gypsum board
• Supervise individual and group projects to ensure quality and technical compliance
• Evaluate academic and practical student performance using objective criteria
• Promote industrial safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment
• Maintain order, cleanliness, and functionality of the assigned workshop or laboratory
• Participate in academic meetings, training, and institutional activities

Requirements

• Technical or university degree in carpentry, cabinetmaking, light construction, or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the trade
• Teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of occupational safety standards (OSHA or other applicable)
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
