Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or design plans
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, or other materials using hand and power tools
• Assemble and install framework, cabinets, shelves, doors, and other components
• Install or repair building fixtures such as windows, stairs, or molding
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other tradespeople to meet project specifications
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site
• Keep accurate records of work performed and time spent on each project

Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years of carpentry experience in a facilities or property maintenance setting
• Vocational certification or apprenticeship in carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and sanders
• Physical fitness for manual tasks and the ability to lift heavy materials
