Carpenter Master

Responsibilities

• Perform complex carpentry, flooring, glass work, and door/window repairs in both emergency and routine situations
• Act as a lead worker, providing direction, training, and supervisory assistance to carpenters, apprentices, and contractors
• Investigate and respond to carpentry emergencies, assessing situations to determine necessary tools and materials
• Execute remodeling, construction, and maintenance on academic and auxiliary facilities
• Operate various woodworking machinery including rip saws, planers, drill presses, and jointers
• Install and repair wall coverings, drop ceilings, baseboards, floor tiles, and door hardware
• Operate heavy equipment such as man-lifts, scissor-lifts, fork-lifts, and trucks with trailers
• Maintain accurate records of work assignments and initiate requisition orders for materials

Requirements

• Three years of experience or training in the carpentry trade
• Valid driver's license (subject to MVR check)
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment
• Ability to pass a physical evaluation based on job demands
• Ability to serve as emergency essential personnel, reporting to campus during emergencies or closures
