Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair and replace doors, door hardware, windows, and window glass
• Fabricate, adjust, repair and replace counter tops, drawers, and cupboards
• Install shelving and washroom accessories
• Repair or replace ceiling tile, drywall ceiling, floor covering, drywall and wooden wall covering
• Repair, patch and paint to industry standard
• Operate woodworking equipment such as metal brake, drill, circular saw, reciprocating saw, table saw, and miter saw
• Order lumber, hardware, spare parts and accessories to maintain inventory

Requirements

• Grade 12 Diploma
• Valid Ontario Carpentry Certificate or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• Knowledge and ability to work with carpentry machinery safely
• Certified to work at heights, using step ladder and scissor lift
• Ability to pass a clear criminal record check

• Plumbing knowledge
