Cargo Inspector Trainee

Responsibilities

• Inspect liquid cargo on ships, tank trucks, land tanks, and wagons
• Take samples of petrochemical products and gases for laboratory analysis
• Perform cleanliness inspections
• Conduct various measurements and quantity calculations
• Collaborate with laboratories, customer service, and terminals
• Work in a 2-shift system initially, transitioning to a 5-shift system later

Requirements

• MBO or HBO degree in Transport, Shipping, or Logistics
• Valid Driver's License (Category B)
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office
• VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• No fear of heights, water, or claustrophobia
• Strong communication and mathematical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience with petrochemical products
• Affinity with the Port of Rotterdam through education or work experience
