About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect liquid cargo from ships, tank trucks, land tanks, and wagons
- Take samples of petroleum, petrochemical products, and gases for laboratory analysis
- Perform cleanliness inspections, various measurements, and quantity calculations
- Collaborate with laboratories, customer service, coordinators, and other inspectors
- Maintain contact with customers and terminals
Requirements
- Driver's license (Category B)
- Knowledge of and experience with (petro)chemical products
- Completed MBO or HBO nautical education (shipping/inland shipping) or relevant logistics/industrial experience
- Proficiency in Dutch and English
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office
- Possession of or willingness to obtain VCA certification
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and safety-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cargo Inspector or Surveyor in the (petro)chemical industry
- Knowledge of inspection techniques, equipment, and international inspection standards
