About the role

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect washrooms, toilets, showers, sinks, and floor areas daily
  • Manage laundry duties, including washing bedding and towels and maintaining the laundry room
  • Empty garbage containers, replace bags, and transport waste to outside bins
  • Replenish essential supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels in bathrooms and kitchens
  • Perform floor maintenance including vacuuming, mopping, and stripping/refinishing floors twice per year
  • Execute weekly and monthly tasks such as washing walls, cleaning baseboards, and dusting blinds
  • Manage cleaning supplies by ensuring they are stored properly and ordered as needed

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of custodial or janitorial experience
  • Strong knowledge of janitorial supplies and cleaning chemicals
  • Understanding of health and safety issues related to facility maintenance
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Proven dependability and a cooperative attitude
