Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and toileting
• Follow safety guidelines, proper lifting techniques, and universal precautions
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed
• Monitor resident activity, nutritional intake, and psychosocial well-being
• Document resident status changes, including physical and medication reactions
• Assist with enrichment activities and light cleaning of resident apartments
• Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, and residents

Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or willingness to learn
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 125 pounds with assistance and pushing wheelchairs up to 150 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for up to 90% of the workday

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience
