Career Transitional Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assess graduates placement readiness and provide appropriate referrals
• Ensure timely placement and retention of graduates in quality jobs, military, or further education
• Promote job development through contact with employers, One-Stops, JTPA, and State Employment Agencies
• Communicate and model appropriate employability skills
• Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property
• Adhere to safety practices and foster a conducive, respectful environment
• Attend all required staff training opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, or communications
• OR Associate’s degree in a related field plus two years of related experience
• Experience working with diverse youth
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
