About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit eligible youth for the Job Corps Program through community outreach and public events
- Conduct applicant orientations and interviews, including with parents of minors
- Manage applicant files via data entry and electronic scanning
- Perform Quality Assurance checks on all applicant files
- Assess graduate placement readiness and provide referrals for jobs, military, or further education
- Promote job development through contact with employers and state employment agencies
- Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property while adhering to safety practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Four years of experience working with youth ages 16-24
- Strong public speaking, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general internet/email usage
- Ability to work periodic evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
- Valid State Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- 15 semester hours of psychology
