Career Transitional Specialist

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible youth for the Job Corps Program through community outreach and public events
• Conduct applicant orientations and interviews, including with parents of minors
• Manage applicant files via data entry and electronic scanning
• Perform Quality Assurance checks on all applicant files
• Assess graduate placement readiness and provide referrals for jobs, military, or further education
• Promote job development through contact with employers and state employment agencies
• Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property while adhering to safety practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Four years of experience working with youth ages 16-24
• Strong public speaking, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general internet/email usage
• Ability to work periodic evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
• Valid State Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• 15 semester hours of psychology
