Career Transition Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assess graduates' placement readiness and provide appropriate referrals and support services
• Ensure timely placement and retention of graduates in quality jobs, military, or further education
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers, One-Stops, and State Employment Agencies
• Conduct monthly follow-ups on graduates and former enrollees
• Assist graduates with resume preparation, interview skills, and placement search strategies
• Conduct weekly training workshops on career preparation topics
• Document all placement services provided in case notes
• Organize and participate in job fairs to connect graduates with potential employers
• Monitor and report on placement outcomes to management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, or communications
• Two years of relevant experience
• Experience working with young people aged 16-24
• Current certification under Puerto Rico Law 300
• Valid Puerto Rico Class 4 driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong organizational and communication skills
