Career Services Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized career advising, coaching, and employment planning to students and graduates
• Assist with résumé development, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and national employers to create hiring pipelines
• Facilitate career readiness workshops on topics such as networking, job search techniques, and professional branding
• Track and document placement activities, employment outcomes, and student engagement
• Represent the institution at industry events, career fairs, and community networking functions
• Maintain accurate records of employer contacts and graduate employment in compliance with accreditation standards

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of four years of experience in customer service, sales, recruiting, career services, or workforce development
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and office productivity software
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in higher education, recruiting, staffing, or admissions
• Experience developing employer partnerships and business relationships
• Familiarity with labor market information and employment trends
• Experience with CRM or student information systems
