About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, initiate, and build relationships with regional, state, and national organizations to promote students from the College of Humanities, Science & Education (CHSE).
- Develop robust partnerships to shape internships, experiential learning opportunities, and full-time job placements.
- Market the specific skills and competencies of Rider students to attract a diverse array of employers.
- Conduct research to understand the evolving skills and competencies required by employers in fields aligned with CHSE majors and artistic areas.
- Maintain, update, and analyze a database to report on employer relations and student outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Center for Career Development and Success (CDS) team to deliver innovative programs, workshops, and media to support professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2-3 years of work experience in a sciences, humanities, or education-focused organization, or within a university career services setting.
- Exceptional organization, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and build professional collaborations.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a team environment.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Ability to pass satisfactory background and/or DMV checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Familiarity and comfort working with computers and various databases.
- Professional experience with college recruiting from either a higher education or Human Resources perspective.
