About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify, initiate, and build relationships with regional, state, and national organizations to promote students from the College of Humanities, Science & Education (CHSE).
  • Develop robust partnerships to shape internships, experiential learning opportunities, and full-time job placements.
  • Market the specific skills and competencies of Rider students to attract a diverse array of employers.
  • Conduct research to understand the evolving skills and competencies required by employers in fields aligned with CHSE majors and artistic areas.
  • Maintain, update, and analyze a database to report on employer relations and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Center for Career Development and Success (CDS) team to deliver innovative programs, workshops, and media to support professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in a sciences, humanities, or education-focused organization, or within a university career services setting.
  • Exceptional organization, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and build professional collaborations.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a team environment.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Ability to pass satisfactory background and/or DMV checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Familiarity and comfort working with computers and various databases.
  • Professional experience with college recruiting from either a higher education or Human Resources perspective.
