Career Exploration Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic coaching and mentoring to students regarding professional skills, career exploration, and post-baccalaureate planning.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and events focused on resume building, job applications, and interview preparation.
• Collaborate with faculty and academic advisors to mentor students on securing internships and externships.
• Maintain strong relationships with potential employers to promote networking and recruiting pipelines.
• Administer and interpret career-based assessments.
• Manage the Career Closet and coordinate the "Dress for Success" program.
• Coordinate the First Destination Project to collect and analyze data on student post-graduation placements.
• Assist with the logistics of Career, Internship, and Graduate School Fairs.
• Collect and report on program participation, satisfaction, and learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, counseling, education, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours as required by campus events and operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience working with underrepresented or disadvantaged populations.
• Previous experience in a college or university setting.
