About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and evaluate identity-informed career learning experiences, including in-person and online programs, for specialized student populations.
- Provide career coaching and group-based learning on topics such as career exploration, labor market research, and professional development.
- Lead and oversee the Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Program (BTSP) peer mentorship programming, including recruitment, training, and support.
- Build and maintain relationships with alumni, employers, and community partners to create networking and mentorship opportunities, with a focus on Black student communities.
- Develop digital career resources and online content to increase student access and engagement.
- Collaborate with campus partners to embed career learning into experiential learning and high-impact co-curricular activities.
- Support strategic planning, program assessment, and the evaluation of career learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- 3-4 years of related experience in career education, student affairs, or a similar field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of career learning theories and principles.
- Proven facilitation and teaching experience in workshop or group settings.
- Strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with an ability to work effectively in an intercultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Certified Coach or certification in StrengthsFinder/human capital assessment tools.
- Experience working specifically with Black students, organizations, and communities.
- Experience designing and delivering content for digital and online learning spaces.
- Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Experience using design thinking methodology and facilitation techniques.
