About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and group career guidance to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate in-person and web-based career development programs, workshops, and resources.
  • Counsel students on career exploration, self-exploration, resume/CV building, networking, and interview strategies.
  • Collaborate with campus partners, including faculty and student services, to design customized career programming.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective employers to create student connection opportunities.
  • Supervise, recruit, and mentor a team of student Career Peer Mentors.
  • Implement digital strategies to engage students through websites and social networking tools.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 3-4 years of related experience in career development or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills for large classroom settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling Psychology or a related field specializing in career development.
  • Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) designation.
  • Experience designing programs specifically for international students, Indigenous students, or students with disabilities.
  • Training in Design Thinking or Holistic Narrative Career Practice.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders and diverse campus partners.
