Career Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide career counseling to students and alumni regarding goal setting, self-assessment, and career decision-making.
• Assist in the professional development of the student body through resume critiques, interview coaching, and mock interviews.
• Facilitate career-related workshops and classes to promote career readiness.
• Support the planning and execution of campus events, including internship and career fairs and employer presentations.
• Maintain relationships with employers and collaborate with faculty and staff to create student opportunities.
• Manage the Career Center Management System (Handshake) and assist with social media content creation.
• Compile data and generate departmental reports to track program effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Development, Education, or a related field.
• Two years of related experience or training in career services or a similar field.
• Proficiency in personal computers, social media, and related software applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse population.
• Ability to uphold the University’s Christ-centered mission and values.
