About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants providing counseling, guidance, and mentoring
- Assess participant competencies, work history, and skills
- Identify barriers to employment and develop solutions
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support job search and retention
- Facilitate job readiness workshops and career preparation sessions
- Deliver instruction on resume development and interviewing
- Coordinate with employer-facing staff to support participant placement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal staff and community organizations
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and customer service skills
- Experience facilitating workshops in a classroom setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in workforce development or case management
- Experience working with high-barrier populations
- Familiarity with local communities and employers
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, specifically Spanish
