Career Coach and Communication Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic career coaching, including self-assessment, career exploration, and goal setting for students and alumni.
• Deliver workshops and presentations on job searching, networking, and interviewing skills within academic settings.
• Develop and execute an annual communication plan to promote departmental events and resources.
• Manage the department website using a Content Management System (CMS) and oversee digital signage.
• Direct student workers, including Communication Ambassadors and Marketing Fellows, in producing newsletters and promotional materials.
• Create marketing collateral and graphic design assets using tools like Canva.
• Collaborate with faculty, alumni relations, and external corporate partners to support employer engagement and job fairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and graphic design tools like Canva.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to integrate Bethel University’s Christ-centered mission into coaching and mentorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in higher education, counseling, or project management.
• Familiarity with professional networking platforms and job boards such as Handshake and LinkedIn.
