About the role
Responsibilities
- Coach students on career-related topics including resumes, cover letters, job search strategies, interviewing, and goal setting
- Develop, implement, and manage industry-focused career programming and resources
- Build and maintain high-level external partnerships within the CPG, Retail, and Industrial sectors
- Partner with employers to support their early talent recruitment strategies and engagement activities
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed on industry trends and employment opportunities
- Promote career services and programs to both internal students and external employer contacts
- Document stakeholder interactions and maintain the Rotman Commerce Portal
Requirements
- Master's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of five years of relevant, progressively senior professional experience
- Proven experience in coaching, advising, or facilitating (preferably in a university setting)
- Experience in career services, campus recruitment, or corporate relations
- Deep understanding of the CPG, Retail, and Industrial market sectors
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with databases or Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Career coaching certification
- Experience working specifically with post-secondary students in a university environment
- Valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle
