About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strengths-based case management and career advising to a caseload of up to 25 program participants
  • Monitor participant progress through the program cycle from referral to employment retention
  • Maintain expert knowledge of TANF requirements, WORCS, and state databases
  • Develop and lead engaging curriculum and workshops to support participant success
  • Source employment resources and develop OJT/Job Ready placements for non-English speaking participants
  • Instruct on-site ESOL classes to qualifying participants
  • Serve as a lead staff member at satellite sites and mentor identified staff members
  • Develop community supports to address education, housing, and stability barriers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or 3+ years of experience in career counseling, customer service, or social services
  • Experience as an Equus Career Advisor or Equus Outreach Coordinator
  • Certification as an ESOL instructor
  • Subject matter expertise in immigration and citizenship matters
  • Strong computer, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to travel to satellite sites and outlying communities as needed
