About the role
Responsibilities
- Counsel and assist customers with job search strategies, career advisement, and professional goal setting
- Identify and address barriers to employment by connecting customers with outside resources and programs
- Manage day-to-day customer relationships and document all interactions through clear, timely case notes
- Facilitate job readiness and search workshops to support customer development
- Analyze and critique resumes and required documentation to ensure eligibility and effectiveness
- Maintain accurate administrative records, correspondence, and filing systems according to program standards
- Provide motivational support and identify specific training needs to help customers achieve placement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, marketing, business, human resources, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, specifically in career counseling or human services
- Experience working with consumers in a high-volume workforce development environment
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Strong communication, organization, and workshop facilitation skills
- Ability to work first shift and travel when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
