About the role
Responsibilities
- Counsel and assist customers regarding job search strategies, career advisement, and training
- Identify barriers to employment and connect customers with outside resources and programs
- Manage day-to-day customer relationships and document findings with clear case notes
- Facilitate job readiness and search activities for individuals and small groups
- Analyze and critique resumes and required documentation for customer eligibility
- Maintain accurate and complete administrative records and correspondence
- Provide motivational support and identify training needs for customers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, marketing, business, human resources, or related field preferred
- Experience in career counseling, human services, or workforce development
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
- Ability to motivate individuals facing barriers to employment
- Knowledge of job search strategies and action plans
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Ability to work first shift and overtime if required
- Willingness to travel when necessary
