Responsibilities

  • Counsel and assist customers regarding job search strategies, career advisement, and training
  • Identify barriers to employment and connect customers with outside resources and programs
  • Manage day-to-day customer relationships and document findings with clear case notes
  • Facilitate job readiness and search activities for individuals and small groups
  • Analyze and critique resumes and required documentation for customer eligibility
  • Maintain accurate and complete administrative records and correspondence
  • Provide motivational support and identify training needs for customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, marketing, business, human resources, or related field preferred
  • Experience in career counseling, human services, or workforce development
  • Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
  • Ability to motivate individuals facing barriers to employment
  • Knowledge of job search strategies and action plans
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to work first shift and overtime if required
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
