Career Advisor

Responsibilities

• Counsel and assist customers regarding job search strategies, career advisement, and professional goal setting.
• Identify and work with customers to overcome barriers to employment.
• Manage day-to-day customer relationships, addressing concerns promptly and documenting all findings with clear case notes.
• Facilitate job readiness and search workshops.
• Analyze and critique resumes and required documentation to ensure eligibility and effectiveness.
• Monitor and track customer participation to maximize program opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and complete administrative records and correspondence.
• Identify training needs and provide motivational support throughout the job search process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, marketing, business, human resources, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience, specifically in career counseling or human services.
• Experience working in a high-volume work environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel within Clark County as required.
• Ability to work first shift and overtime if necessary.
