About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living
- Perform daily housekeeping and laundry duties
- Participate in shift change reports and 24 Hour Reports
- Assist residents to and from life enrichment programs
- Promote personal choices, independence, and spiritual needs
- Respond to resident pendant and wearable calls in a timely manner
- Maintain infection control practices and resident confidentiality
- Report accidents and incidents to supervisors immediately
- Prepare for emergency situations including fire and disasters
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CNA or Home Health Aid certification preferred
- Medication Assistance license preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to handle difficult situations with common sense
