About the role
Responsibilities
- Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and fluid intake/output
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders
- Recognize and report abnormal changes in body functioning to a supervisor
- Transfer, position, and turn residents to ensure comfort and safety
- Provide skin care and nursing rehabilitation/restorative services
- Offer emotional and social support to residents while respecting their dignity and independence
- Protect resident rights, confidentiality, and personal belongings
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of clinical or nursing experience
- Valid CNA licensure (depending on state requirements)
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency in English for communication with supervisors, staff, and residents
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an assisted living or senior care environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
