Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities and hygiene
• Monitor vital signs and change wound dressings
• Perform medical assessments of patients
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Stock medical supplies
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare personnel
• Turn, reposition, and move patients between beds and wheelchairs
• Serve meals and assist with feeding
• Report health concerns to a Registered Nurse or Medical Provider

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited CNA or MA program
• Minimum one year of professional experience as a licensed CNA or certified MA
• Current, full, and unrestricted CNA license or MA certification in Florida
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to respond to a disaster within 24 hours and remain onsite until conclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with special needs populations
