Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Visit village and community customers daily to follow personal care plans
• Provide personal care including washing, bathing, dressing, and continence care
• Assist with mealtimes, preparing drinks, and administering medication
• Perform household duties such as cooking, laundry, vacuuming, and ironing
• Support customers with fitness, health awareness programs, and medical appointments
• Encourage customer independence in daily activities and exercise
• Liaise with family members and maintain strict safeguarding compliance

Requirements

• Good level of written and oral English
• Ability to use a mobile app for scheduling and electronic daily logs
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• High standard of personal presentation and hygiene
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
• Ability to follow medication instructions accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care setting is not required as training is provided
• Interest in undertaking NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
