About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to tenants including personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with household tasks including light domestic duties and laundry
- Prepare and serve meals to support nutrition and hydration needs
- Administer and record oral and topical medication in line with policy
- Provide emotional support and promote tenant wellbeing
- Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing
- Contribute to care planning and recommendations for families and healthcare professionals
- Organise recreational and social activities to reduce isolation
- Respond to emergency calls and take appropriate action
- Work flexibly including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Requirements
- Ability to carry out duties in line with legislation and Council policies
- Capacity to work as part of an integrated team
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and bank holidays
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required
