BSc degree, Diploma in Cardiovascular Perfusion, CSCP or ABCP certification, Knowledge of extracorporeal physiology
About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize circulatory support and homeostasis for patients requiring cardiopulmonary bypass
- Assemble, calibrate, and operate heart-lung machines
- Monitor myocardial preservation during CPB
- Administer medical gases, anesthetics, drugs, blood products, and crystalloid solutions
- Operate and monitor Ventricular Assist Devices
- Ensure quality of practice and adherence to safety standards
- Participate in professional development and teaching activities
Requirements
- BSc degree with a diploma in Cardiovascular Perfusion
- Certification with CSCP or ABCP (or eligibility)
- Specialized knowledge of extracorporeal physiology and mechanics (adult and pediatric)
- Strong problem-solving and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, stressful team environments
- Excellent communication skills for critical decision-making
