Cardiology Research Assistant

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families to discuss and obtain consent for research participation
• Collect and enter patient data into online forms following established protocols
• Perform literature searches and maintain an Endnote reference library
• Prepare recruitment packages and maintain logs for ethics approvals and specimen collection
• Manage study records through scanning, printing, and filing
• Perform administrative and clerical duties to support research initiatives

Requirements

• High school graduation
• Minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Ability to handle sensitive information with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant undergraduate degree with a strong science background
• Experience working in a research environment or understanding of research ethics
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Proficiency with search engines such as PubMed, Medline, or Ovid
• Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and EndNote
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
