Cardiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
• Diagnose acute and chronic cardiac health conditions and develop treatment plans
• Manage chronic conditions and monitor patient progress
• Educate patients and families about cardiovascular disease prevention and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Perform clinical skills including phlebotomy, IV insertion, holter placements, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and EKG
• Prepare patient charts, assessments, diagnoses, and progress notes
• Complete prior authorizations and radiology questionnaires

Requirements

• Current CA License as NP or PA
• 2+ years of experience as a practicing NP or PA-C
• BLS & ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to work 5 days x 8 hour shifts with weekend flexibility
• Experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency, or Family Medicine preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior cardiac experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
