Cardiology Advanced Care Provider

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
• Diagnose acute and chronic cardiac health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Manage chronic conditions, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease prevention and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate effective patient care
• Perform clinical skills including phlebotomy, IV insertion, holter placement, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and EKG
• Maintain accurate documentation, including patient histories, assessments, diagnoses, and progress notes
• Complete prior authorizations and necessary medical forms

Requirements

• Current NYS License as a Nurse Practitioner (specialty) or Physician Assistant
• 5+ years of experience as a practicing NP or PA-C
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to work 4 days per week (10-hour shifts)
• Flexible availability for weekend coverage
• Proficiency in clinical skills: phlebotomy, IV insertion, holter placement, and EKG

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior cardiac experience in inpatient or outpatient settings
• Background in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
