Cardiac Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients with cardiovascular diseases requiring surgical intervention
• Perform advanced cardiac surgeries including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, and replacement
• Coordinate care with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive treatment
• Lead preoperative planning and postoperative management to ensure optimal patient recovery
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, risks, and postoperative care
• Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance surgical techniques
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
• Completed residency in General Surgery and a specialized fellowship in Cardiac Surgery
• Board certification in Cardiac Surgery
• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing cardiac surgical procedures
• Valid medical license to practice
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary cardiac surgical techniques and technologies
• Strong leadership and ability to make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations
