Cardiac Sonographer II

Responsibilities

• Perform complete cardiac ultrasound examinations, stress testing, and assist with 2D transesophageal examinations.
• Prepare patients for examinations and provide quantitative echocardiographic measurements for reporting.
• Utilize ISCV digital archiving systems for measurements and data management.
• Provide preliminary interpretations to facilitate comprehensive examinations.
• Train Level 1 Cardiac Sonographers and participate in process improvement activities.
• Engage in research and publications to support cutting-edge clinical advancements.
• Communicate professionally and supportively with patients and multidisciplinary team members.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• ARDMS or CCI accreditation (passed boards).
• 5 to 10 years of experience in ultrasound procedures, equipment, CW Doppler, and related cardiac anatomy/pathology.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in computer systems and applicable medical software.
• Ability to independently perform transthoracic examinations, including the use of contrast when necessary.
