Cardiac Physiologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiac procedures including pacemaker and ICD implantation, follow-up, and troubleshooting
• Work closely with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort
• Accurately record test results and collaborate with cardiologists on care plans
• Maintain and calibrate medical equipment
• Adhere to clinical protocols and stay updated on cardiac pacing advancements
• Participate in quality assurance and assist in training junior staff
• Provide patient education on device management and heart health

Requirements

• Degree in Cardiac Physiology or related field
• HCPC registration
• Extensive experience in cardiac pacing and devices
• Proficiency in pacemaker and ICD implantation and troubleshooting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
