Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms and exercise stress echocardiograms of a non-invasive nature
• Provides expert assessment, evaluation and prepares preliminary interpretation and documentation for cardiologist’s review
• Applies knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning and imaging techniques to optimize ultrasound image quality
• Works collaboratively with the clinical team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes
• Assists in the proper functioning of the cardiovascular lab, including equipment maintenance and restocking
• Performs vital sign monitoring and assessment
• Maintains daily log of patient procedures
• Troubleshoots technology issues as needed

Requirements

• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program
• Minimum of 5+ years of clinical cardiac experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
• Ability to maintain required CMEs for credential standing
• Technical expertise in cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathology
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting
• Ability to remain calm and precise during emergency situations
