Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality 2D, 3D, and M-mode echocardiograms, including Stress Echo and TEE assistance
• Execute and enforce specialized cardiac ultrasound protocols (Adult, Pediatric, and Stress)
• Conduct daily quality checks of echocardiograms and review images for technical accuracy
• Lead data collection and documentation for IAC renewals and site inspections
• Serve as the primary preceptor for staff echo techs and conduct competency assessments
• Coordinate the daily cardiac schedule and manage the echo technologist team
• Monitor ultrasound system performance and oversee high-level disinfection compliance
• Communicate critical findings immediately to reading physicians
• Explain complex cardiac procedures to patients and families

Requirements

• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program
• Minimum of 5+ years of clinical cardiac experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
• Expertise in cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathology

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Charge, Lead, or Senior capacity
