About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record hemodynamic patient data and recognize basic arrhythmias
- Prepare patients for procedures using aseptic technique and proper equipment placement
- Assist physicians during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterility
- Set up and prepare the lab with sterile linens, instruments, and equipment
- Manage lab inventory, including stock rotation and monitoring expiration dates
- Implement process improvements to optimize lab operations and workflow
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a cardiovascular technician in a Cardiac Cath Lab or X-ray
- Thorough knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to obtain one of the following: RCES, RCIS, or CEPS certification
