Carbide Grind Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple machines, including welders and grinders, to produce Carbide Tipped Saw products.
• Perform exacting setups by aligning grinding wheels to achieve proper rake angles, chamfer, and height.
• Adjust guides, vises, indexing cams, and roller drives to maximize operating efficiency.
• Monitor machine operation and ensure product quality through inspections using optical comparators and other instruments.
• Use micrometers to check dimensions and post findings at the start of each shift.
• Utilize overhead electric hoists and hydraulic equipment to load and move materials.
• Maintain required production records, counts, and routine machine maintenance logs.
• Adhere to all safety rules, practices, and procedures to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and the use of micrometers.
• Proficiency in using numbers, including decimals.
• 1-2 years of preferred experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to perform light physical effort, including lifting, pushing, and pulling between 5 to 25 pounds.
