Carbide Grind Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple machines, including welders and grinders, to produce Carbide Tipped Saw products.
• Perform exacting setups by aligning grinding wheels to achieve proper rake angles, chamfer, and height.
• Adjust guides, vises, indexing cams, and roller drives to maximize operating efficiency.
• Monitor machine operation and ensure product quality through regular inspections using optical comparators and other instruments.
• Use overhead electric hoists, hydraulics, and hand trucks to move materials and products.
• Maintain required production records, counts, and routine machine maintenance logs.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including the use of required safety equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers.
• Proficiency in using numbers, including decimals.
• Ability to perform light physical effort, including lifting, pushing, and pulling between 5 to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or machine operation role.
